Question:

A few thoughts running through my mind tonight. Do we lower our standards because we seem out of step with the world around us? Our ideals, dreams, goals. We let them drift away with the standards the world throws into our faces each day. Have a career, make good money, get married, have children, raise a family. All within certain time constraints and ages.
My hope is to go above all of that. To focus on the timing that God has set before me in my life. To work hard for HIS will, to travel with the intent to help those less fortunate, to see the world, experience true spontaneity in its most virgin form, to find love everywhere I go, to find true love in a man only hand chosen by Gods grace.
I do not hold a time frame in any of this.
Instead, I work hard and take the steps that God has set before me. Letting him light each and every step as I go.
A few stumbles have occurred and yet wonderfully I feel I am exactly where I should be. Everyday continuously moving forward.
God truly has the best in hand for those who seek him.
Just as Ruth waited for Gods best resulted in her union with Boaz rather than Bozo.
She did not allow culture to keep her from setting new standards and making wise choices for her life that would truly honor God.
I do not believe in compromise or settling as the sake of my beliefs or the word of God.
Why would we settle for such a generic version of life?
Break the cycle of "damaged goods"
Make wise choices.
Don't cling to the next new thing because the world tells you that your standards are just unattainable.
Work hard, trust the Lord, seek him, and beautiful amazing dreams will be fulfilled.  Maybe not quite when you would expect or how you expected, but they really will be fulfilled.
